| Reducing the width of land that is subject to shoreland zoning and land use controls from 250 feet to 75 feet from the normal high-water line or upland edge of any body of water, river or wetland will require the Departments of Environmental Protection (DEP) and Conservation to make substantial amendments to their rules, requiring one-time General Fund appropriations of $3,000 to the DEP and $3,000 to the Department of Conservation in fiscal year 2011-12 for printing, postage, advertising, travel and room rental costs for the conduct of public hearings. The agencies can absorb the personal services costs associated with this rulemaking within their existing budgeted resources. | ||||||
