| This bill requires that solid waste disposal facilities licensed in the State be licensed only to accept waste generated within the State, effectively rendering all ash or processing residuals from any Maine facility that accepts any quantity of out-of-state waste also as out-of-state waste, since separation of these wastes is not practical. This bill would, as a result, prohibit the landfilling of any such materials within Maine and deprive the Maine Solid Waste Management Fund of the fees generated from processing of these wastes, reducing revenue to that fund. | ||||||
