State's budget includes sufficient funds to accommodate one ballot of average
length for the general election in November.
If the number or size of the referendum questions requires production
and delivery of a second ballot, an additional appropriation of $107,250 may
be required. |

If approved by the
voters, this constitutional amendment would change the timing of
redistricting beginning in 2021. This
would represent a shift of costs from fiscal year 2022-23 to fiscal year
2020-21. Current estimates of the
costs to the Legislature of redistricting are $400,000. |
