| This legislation limits the areas where a person would need a concealed weapons permit to carry a weapon, reduce the permit and renewal fees and increases the permit term. These provisions would reduce General Fund revenue by $104,300 and Other Special Revenue Funds revenue to the Department of Public Safety by $97,000 beginning in fiscal year 2011-12. The Department of Public Safety would eliminate one Office Associate II position and one State Police Detective position as a result of reduced levels of issuance of concealed weapons permits resulting in Other Special Revenue Funds savings of $152,744 in fiscal year 2011-12 and $157,885 in fiscal year 2012-13. | ||||||
