Notes |

Withdrawing
the State of Maine from the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI) will
reduce revenue to the Efficiency Maine Trust (EMT) by approximately $8.5
million each fiscal year due to cancellation of the RGGI auctions of emission
allowances and due to cancellation of EMT participation in the forward
capacity market. The Department of
Environmental Protection (DEP) may also incur minor administrative costs
associated with withdrawal from RGGI which DEP can absorb within existing
budgeted resources. |
