	The general operating expenses of this commission are projected to be $4,430 in fiscal year 2011-12.  The Legislature's proposed budget includes $10,000 in fiscal year 2011-12 and $10,000 in fiscal year 2012-13 for legislative studies.  Whether the amounts are sufficient to fund all studies will depend on the number of studies authorized by the Legislative Council and the Legislature.

	The additional costs of serving on the Blue Ribbon Commission on Affordable Housing can be absorbed by the Maine State Housing Authority and the Department of Economic and Community Development utilizing existing budgeted resources.
