Repealing the requirement that an emergency rescue or public safety worker be immunized or be disqualified from the benefits of the rebuttable presumption may result in increased workers' compensation costs to the State and local units of government.  The impact can not be determined at this time.
Additional costs to the Department of Education and the Department of Health and Human Services associated with rulemaking can be absorbed within existing budgeted resources.
