Fiscal Detail and Notes
The Board of Dental Examiners and the Administrative Services Division within the Department of Professional and Financial Regulation will require one-time Other Special Revenue Funds allocations totaling $7,500 in fiscal year 2011-12 for the costs associated with implementing the requirement that certain dental assistants, dental hygienists and denturists provide at least 6 hours of free public education on good oral hygiene each year as a condition of relicensing and recertification.
Of that amount, the Board of Dental Examiners, affiliated with the Department of Professional and Financial Regulation, will require a one-time Other Special Revenue Funds allocation of $2,500 in fiscal year 2011-12 for rulemaking costs.  Additionally, the Administrative Services Division will require a one-time Other Special Revenue Funds allocation of $5,000 in fiscal year 2011-12 for the costs associated with reconfiguring the licensing system.
Both the Board of Dental Examiners and the Administrative Services Division have sufficent funds within their respective budgets to support the cost of this legislation.
