An Act To Amend the Maine Medical Use of Marijuana Act To Protect Patient Privacy
Fiscal Note for Bill as Engrossed with:
C "A" (H-615)
Committee: Health and Human Services

Fiscal Note
Current biennium revenue decrease - Other Special Revenue Funds
Minor cost increase - General Fund
Fiscal Detail and Notes
The bill's provisions making patient registration voluntary would likely result in a reduction in revenue collected by the Department of Health and Human Services that cannot be determined at the current time.  Because the Medical  program is required to be self-funded, the department would need to decrease costs or increase other fees as a result.  The additional cost to the Department of the Attorney General can be absorbed utilizing existing budgeted resources.
