This legislation
will increase General Fund revenue from fines collected by the Department of
Labor. The amount will depend on the
number of fines assessed but is not anticipated to be significantly
different. |

Additional costs
to the Bureau of Labor Standards and the Bureau of Employment Services within
the Department of Labor to implement the provisions of this legislation can
be absorbed within existing budgeted resources. |
|
Additional costs
to the Department of Conservation, the Department of Education, the Maine
Community College System and the University of Maine System associated with
serving on the Logging Industry Advisory Group can be absorbed within
existing budgeted resources. |
