summary

Current law prohibits a person from displaying in a threatening manner a dangerous or deadly weapon and from concealing a dangerous or deadly weapon.

This amendment applies those prohibitions only to a firearm and removes the application of the statute to other dangerous and deadly weapons.

This amendment also limits the requirement proposed in Committee Amendment "A" that a person in possession of a dangerous or deadly weapon in a public place provide that person's name, address and date of birth to a law enforcement officer.
