Amend the bill by striking out everything after the enacting clause and before the summary and inserting the following:

‘Sec. 1. 12 MRSA §11453, sub-§1, as enacted by PL 2003, c. 414, Pt. A, §2 and affected by c. 614, §9, is amended to read:

1. Unlawfully driving deer. A person may not participate in a hunt for deer during which an organized or planned effort is made to drive deer except that a group of 3 4 or fewer persons may hunt together or drive deer as long as they do not use noisemaking devices. A group of 5 or more persons may not hunt together or drive deer.’

This amendment, which is the minority report, allows a group of 4 or fewer persons to hunt for and drive deer together as long as they do not use noisemaking devices. This amendment also specifically prohibits groups of 5 or more persons from hunting together or driving deer.
