Amend the resolve in section 2 by striking out all of subsection 3 (page 1, lines 21 to 24 in L.D.) and inserting the following:
‘3. Three members of the public with experience or expertise in the challenges of independent living for individuals with a disability in the State, one of whom is appointed by the President of the Senate, one of whom is appointed by the Speaker of the House and one of whom is appointed by the Governor;
4. A representative of a business that is a model work place for individuals with disabilities appointed by the Governor;
5. A representative of a statewide association of providers of services for individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism appointed by the Speaker of the House;
6. A representative of a program serving individuals with disabilities who are members of a federally recognized Indian tribe appointed by the President of the Senate;
7. A representative of a statewide association of adults with developmental disabilities and autism appointed by the Governor;’
Amend the resolve in section 2 by renumbering the subsections to read consecutively.

This amendment, which is the majority report of the committee, changes the membership of the Blue Ribbon Commission on Independent Living and Disability. It removes 4 members of the public from the membership in the resolve and replaces them with a representative of a business that is a model work place for individuals with disabilities, a representative of a statewide association of providers of services for individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism, a representative of a program serving individuals with disabilities who are members of a federally recognized Indian tribe and a representative of a statewide association of adults with developmental disabilities and autism.
