An Act To Provide a Safe Working Environment for Home Care Workers
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:
Sec. 1. 22 MRSA §2149-A, sub-§3 is enacted to read:
3. Safety of employees. A home health care provider shall provide safe working conditions for its employees, including, but not limited to, checking the sex offender registry maintained pursuant to Title 34-A, chapters 15 and 17 for information on a client before sending an employee to the home of the client.
