Resolve, Directing the Department of Health and Human Services To Amend Its Rules To Improve the Oral Health Education of Children

Sec. 1. Rules. Resolved: That the Department of Health and Human Services shall amend its rules to require a child care provider licensed in the State to assist children in a toothbrushing exercise whenever the children are in the provider’s care for more than 4 hours or consume a meal while in the provider's care.

The rules must require that each child use an individual, labeled toothbrush that is stored in a safe and sanitary manner and open to the air without touching other toothbrushes.
