Resolve, To Establish a Consistent Workers' Compensation Classification for Pharmacies

Sec. 1. Department of Professional and Financial Regulation, Bureau of Insurance to establish a consistent workers' compensation classification for pharmacies. Resolved: That, notwithstanding the provisions of the Maine Revised Statutes, Title 24-A, chapter 25, subchapter 2-B, the Department of Professional and Financial Regulation, Bureau of Insurance shall establish a workers' compensation insurance business classification for pharmacies so that the workers' compensation insurance rate for an employee of a pharmacy located within a larger retail store is identical to the workers' compensation insurance rate for an employee of a stand-alone pharmacy.
