This floor
amendment removes the requirement for a concealed weapons permit but allows
for the issuance of an optional permit.
It would reduce Other Special Revenue Funds revenue to the Department
of Public Safety by $1,099,051 in fiscal year 2014-15 as compared to the
majority committee amendment. This
analysis assumes 10% of people would apply for an optional permit. It also removes the Other Special Revenue
Funds allocation of $230,000 in fiscal year 2014-15 for 2 Office Associate II
positions and one State Police Detective position contained in the majority
committee amendment. |
