Requires school
health care providers to provide information about the benefit and risks of
immunization to parents of a child excepted from the immunization
requirements under Title 20-A, §6355 and to sign a statement that the
information has been provided. |

The required
local activities in this bill may represent a State mandate pursuant to the
Constitution of Maine. Unless General
Fund appropriations are provided to fund at least 90% of the additional costs
or a Mandate Preamble is amended to the bill and two-thirds of the members of
each House vote to exempt this mandate from the funding requirement,
municipalities may not be required to implement these changes. |

This preliminary
fiscal impact statement assumes that some, if not all, school administrative
units will be responsible for assembling the required information that school
health care providers must send to parents as well as creating the form that
the providers must sign stating that the information has been provided to the
parents. |
