This floor
amendment eliminates Maine Clean Election Fund distributions for
gubernatorial candidates. The
incremental impact compared to the committee amendment is an Other Special
Revenue Funds deallocation of $3,125,000 in fiscal year 2013-14 and
$1,225,000 in fiscal year 2014-15 to the Commission on Governmental Ethics
and Election Practices for reduced payments.
Other Special Revenue Funds revenue will decrease by $74,000 in fiscal
year 2013-14 and $42,000 in fiscal year 2014-15 from reduced qualifying
contributions. Additionally, the
commission will not require the revenue transfer from the General Fund of
$4,500,000 in fiscal year 2013-14. |
