|
The bill
increases, beginning January 1, 2015, fees on certificates for watercraft
operation on inland waters by $5 (from $10 to $15) and lake and river
protection stickers for nonresident personal watercraft, motorboats and
seaplanes by $5 (from $20 to $25). The Invasive Aquatic Plant and Nuisance
Species Fund within the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) is
estimated to receive $246,650 in fiscal year 2014-15 and $517,930 in
subsequent fiscal years. This bill provides an allocation to the DEP of
$246,650 in fiscal year 2014-15 for inspecting, eradicating and containing
invasive aquatic plants and nuisance species. |
