Amend the amendment in section 1 in the 5th line (page 1, line 16 in amendment) by striking out the following: "until" and inserting in its place the following: 'for the period from July 1, 2016 to'

Amend the amendment by striking out all of section 3 and inserting the following:

SUMMARY

This amendment requires the Department of Health and Human Services to amend its rules, as proposed in Committee Amendment "A," by August 1, 2016 and specifies that the reimbursement rate increase applies for the period July 1, 2016 to December 31, 2017. This amendment also removes the General Fund appropriation to the Department of Health and Human Services of $568,471 in fiscal year 2016-17 as the appropriation is no longer required as a result of the increase in the federal fiscal year 2017 Federal Medical Assistance Percentage, or FMAP, to 64.38% from 62.67%. The Federal Expenditures Fund allocation also increases due to the FMAP change in fiscal year 2016-17.
