|
This legislation
allows the Department of Defense, Veterans and Emergency Management to
receive seized money and assets for counter-drug activities and could result
in increased revenue to the department. The department will require an Other
Special Revenue Funds account be established to allow the deposit and
expenditure of any monies received. Any assets or proceeds received must be
used to support counter-drug activities. The amount received in any given
year will depend on the frequency and nature of the cases that arise and
cannot be predicted at this time. |
