This legislation
would eliminate nomination by primary election in cases where the party
nomination is uncontested. The
Department of Secretary of State would require a General Fund deappropriation
of $78,092 in fiscal year 2015-16 for reduced ballot costs. The bill also assesses a $50 per day fine
on municipal clerks for each day election results are delivered late. |
