An Act To Enhance the Safety of Schoolchildren by Requiring the Posting of the School Zone Speed Limit
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:
Sec. 1. 20-A MRSA §6555 is enacted to read:
§ 6555. School zone speed limit signs
A school shall post signs pursuant to Title 23, chapter 21 on each public way in that school's school zone, as defined in Title 29-A, section 101, subsection 64-B, that read: "School Zone - Speed Limit 15 mph When Children Are Present."
