An Act To Exempt Certain Employees from the Minimum Wage Laws
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:
Sec. 1. 26 MRSA §664, sub-§5 is enacted to read:
5. Exemption. Subsections 1 and 2 do not apply to an employee who:
A. Has not attained 18 years of age;
B. Is claimed as a dependent on the income tax return of another person; or
C. Is employed by a seasonal employer, as defined in section 603, subsection 3, paragraph F.
