Resolve, To Establish a Working Group To Propose Changes to the Animal Welfare Laws

Sec. 1. Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry to convene working group. Resolved: That the Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry shall convene a working group of interested stakeholders to propose changes to the animal welfare laws and rules; and be it further

Sec. 2. Report. Resolved: That, by December 15, 2017, the Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry shall submit a report on the working group's proposed changes under section 1 to the Joint Standing Committee on Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry. The joint standing committee may report out a bill concerning the report to the Second Regular Session of the 128th Legislature.
