Amend the resolve in section 2 in subsection 4 in paragraph C (page 1, line 36 in L.D.) by striking out the following: "battery"
Amend the resolve in section 2 in subsection 4 in paragraph D in the first line (page 2, line 1 in L.D.) by striking out the following: "battery"
Amend the resolve by striking out all of section 7 and inserting the following:
‘Sec. 7. Staff assistance. Resolved: That the Legislative Council shall provide necessary staffing services to the commission; and be it further’
SUMMARY
This amendment is the majority report of the committee. It removes from the membership of the Commission To Study the Economic, Environmental and Energy Benefits of Energy Storage to the Maine Electricity Industry representatives from small-scale and large-scale battery energy storage system owners and adds representatives from small-scale and large-scale energy storage system owners. It removes certain language regarding invited staff support.
