The bill provides
a one-time General Fund appropriation to the Department of Public Safety of
$50,000 in fiscal year 2017-18 to assist law enforcement agencies in the
acquisition and training of drug-detecting dogs. Additional costs to the
Department of Public Safety associated with rulemaking and establishing the
pilot project can be absorbed within existing budgeted resources. |
