The bill includes
General Fund appropriations to the Department of Health and Human Services of
$6,663,000 beginning in fiscal year 2017-18 for primary care patient-centered
medical homes and behavioral health providers that provide evidence-based,
integrated medication-assisted treatment to patients with opioid use disorder
to cover costs of intensive, intermediate and long-term treatment, including,
but not limited to, the cost of medication, screening, behavioral health
treatment and office visits for 1,000 uninsured patients.
A more current estimate, which includes an estimate for each individual
service required by the bill, would increase the appropriation to the
Department of Health and Human Services in fiscal year 2017-18 and fiscal
year 2018-19 by $5,359,440 to $12,022,440. |
