Fiscal Detail
and Notes |
The bill includes
General Fund appropriations to the Department of Health and Human Services of
$114,100 in fiscal year 2017-18 and $110,905 in fiscal year 2018-19 to
establish a Public Service Coordinator II position to develop and implement a
data collection and monitoring program for the utilization and regulation of
retail marijuana.
DHHS has more recently noted that this additional position is not necessary
to complete the work outlined in this bill, as this type of work is already being
done by the Statewide Epidemiology Outcomes Workgroup (SEOW) within the
Department of Health and Human Services, Maine Center for Disease Control and
Prevention. |
