This bill
increases the number of moose permits available for public auction by
conservation organizations from 10 permits to 20 permits. The auction of
additional permits will increase Other Special Revenue Funds to the
Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife (DIFW) by $135,000 annually
beginning in fiscal year 2017-18. The department will require allocations of
$135,000 in fiscal year 2017-18 and $135,000 in fiscal year 2018-19 to
distribute at least 50% of the revenue from the public auction of moose
permits to conservation organizations for the purpose of operating one or
more youth day camps. |
