This legislation
would establish a process for issuing enhanced driver's licenses and
nondriver identification cards. The
Department of the Secretary of State would require a Highway Fund allocation
of $925,129 in fiscal year 2017-18 for computer programming and the increased
cost to manufacture the cards and annual Highway Fund allocations of $162,385
beginning in fiscal year 2018-19 for the additional cost to manufacture the
cards. Highway Fund revenue would
increase by $450,000 beginning in fiscal year 2017-18 from the $10 fee
increase over existing driver's licenses and nondriver identification cards. |
