Requiring all
construction contracts to contain a provision that the manufactured goods be
manufactured in the United States could increase construction costs to the
Department of Transportation and other state agencies and the State's higher
educational institutions if contracted goods are less expensive than those
manufactured in the United States and a waiver is not granted. The Department
of Administrative and Financial Services may incur additional costs to review
all contracts to implement and enforce the waiver process. No estimate of any
increased cost is made at this time. |
