|
This bill changes
the amount paid by the Maine Department of Transportation to displaced
individuals due to property acquisition for projects funded with nonfederal
funds from a set amount to the amount required for federally funded projects. As the federal amount is currently higher
than the state amount there will be increased costs for nonfederal projects.
The amount of additional cost will depend on the number of such projects
going forward and the federal rate at the time of the acquisition of
property. |
