  This bill repeals
the Harness Racing Promotional Board (board) and moves its duties and
responsibilities to the existing State Harness Racing Commission
(commission), which is within the Department of Agriculture, Conservation and
Forestry. The Harness Racing Promotional Fund, currently administered by the
board, will be transferred to the commission. Annual revenue of $50,000 from
commissions on live racing will now accrue to the commission starting in
fiscal year 2018-19 and an ongoing allocation will be required beginning in
  fiscal year 2018-19.   |
