An Act To Increase the Required Number of Qualifying Contributions Gubernatorial Candidates Must Obtain To Qualify as Maine Clean Election Act Candidates
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:
Sec. 1. 21-A MRSA §1125, sub-§3, ¶A, as amended by IB 2015, c. 1, §18, is further amended to read:
A. For a gubernatorial candidate, at least 3,200 6,000 verified registered voters of this State must support the candidacy by providing a qualifying contribution to that candidate;

This bill increases from 3,200 to 6,000 the number of qualifying contributions verified registered voters must make to a gubernatorial candidate for that candidate to be certified as a Maine Clean Election Act candidate.
