‘Sec. 1. Review pursuant to the Maine Revised Statutes, Title 24-A, section 2752. Resolved: That the Superintendent of Insurance shall pursuant to the Maine Revised Statutes, Title 24-A, section 2752 conduct a review and evaluation of proposed legislation submitted during the 129th Legislature to expand adult dental health insurance coverage.
Sec. 2. Report. Resolved: That, no later than March 1, 2021, the Superintendent of Insurance shall submit a report to the joint standing committee of the Legislature having jurisdiction over health coverage, insurance and financial services matters with the results of the review and evaluation required in section 1.
Sec. 3. Legislation. Resolved: That the joint standing committee of the Legislature having jurisdiction over health coverage, insurance and financial services matters may report out a bill to the First Regular Session of the 130th Legislature based on the report provided in accordance with section 2.
Sec. 4. Appropriations and allocations. Resolved: That the following appropriations and allocations are made.

SUMMARY
This amendment replaces the bill and is the majority report of the committee. The amendment turns the bill into a resolve and changes the title. The amendment directs the Department of Professional and Financial Regulation, Bureau of Insurance to conduct pursuant to the Maine Revised Statutes, Title 24-A, section 2752 a review and evaluation of the expansion of adult dental health insurance coverage, provides funds for that purpose and requires the bureau to submit a report to the joint standing committee of the Legislature having jurisdiction over health coverage, insurance and financial services matters no later than March 1, 2021. The joint standing committee is authorized to report out a bill based on the report to the First Regular Session of the 130th Legislature.
