An Act To Reduce the Spread of Invasive Aquatic Plants by Prohibiting Seine Fishing in Great Ponds
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:
Sec. 1. 38 MRSA §410-N, sub-§4 is enacted to read:
4. Seine fishing in great ponds. If the department documents the occurrence of invasive aquatic plants in a great pond, fishing in the great pond using a seine is prohibited. For purposes of this subsection, "great pond" has the same meaning as in section 436-A, subsection 7 and "seine" has the same meaning as in Title 12, section 10001, subsection 55.
