Resolve, To Ensure High-quality Long-term Care for Maine Veterans

Sec. 1. Maine Veterans' Homes staff ratios. Resolved: That the Board of Trustees of the Maine Veterans' Homes, established by the Maine Revised Statutes, Title 5, section 12004-G, subsection 34, shall increase the required staff-to-patient ratio at Maine Veterans' Homes for long-term care to 3 staff to 15 patients.

Sec. 2. Certified nursing assistant rates. Resolved: That the Department of Health and Human Services shall amend its rule 10-144, Chapter 101: MaineCare Benefits Manual, Chapter III, Section 96, Private Duty Nursing and Personal Care Services to increase reimbursement rates for certified nursing assistants by 10%.
