Amend the bill by inserting after the enacting clause and before section 1 the following:

Sec. 1. Transfer of funds. The Maine Historic Preservation Commission shall transfer $250,000 to the Frances Perkins Center to be used for the acquisition of the Frances Perkins Homestead in Newcastle if the following requirements are met:

1. The commission receives confirmation that the Frances Perkins Center has raised $1,350,000 to be used for the acquisition of the Frances Perkins Homestead; and

2. The commission receives from the Frances Perkins Center necessary documentation as determined by the commission, including, but not limited to, an itemized financial budget for the acquisition of the Frances Perkins Homestead, an appraisal of the property by a certified real estate appraiser and a copy of the signed preservation agreement with the commission.’

Amend the bill in section 1 in the initiative in the 2nd line (page 1, line 7 in L.D.) by inserting after the following: "Newcastle" the following: 'if certain conditions are met'

Amend the bill by relettering or renumbering any nonconsecutive Part letter or section number to read consecutively.
