An Act To Permit Disability Insurance To Be Offered through the Surplus Lines Market
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:
Sec. 1. 24-A MRSA §2002-A, sub-§1, ¶B, as enacted by PL 1993, c. 153, §16, is amended to read:
B. Health insurance , except disability insurance that is in excess of policy limits available from an admitted insurer; or

This bill permits disability insurance to be offered through the surplus lines market in excess of policy limits available from an admitted insurer.
