Resolve, To Establish a Pilot Project Authorizing the Use of Traffic Surveillance Cameras on Castine Road in Orland
Sec. 1. Pilot project. Resolved: Notwithstanding the Maine Revised Statutes, Title 29-A, section 2117, the Department of Transportation shall establish a pilot project allowing the use of traffic surveillance cameras to prove or enforce a violation of Title 29-A on Castine Road in the Town of Orland. The Department of Transportation shall by January 15, 2021 submit a report evaluating the results of the pilot project to the joint standing committee of the Legislature having jurisdiction over transportation matters.
SUMMARY
This resolve directs the Department of Transportation to establish a pilot project allowing the use of traffic surveillance cameras to prove or enforce a violation of the Maine Revised Statutes, Title 29-A on Castine Road in Orland and requires the department to submit a report evaluating the results of the pilot project to the joint standing committee of the Legislature having jurisdiction over transportation matters by January 15, 2021.
