Initiative: Provides funding to increase the rate of pay for Transportation Worker, Field Heavy Vehicle and Equipment Technician, Heavy Vehicle and Equipment Technician, Highway Laborer, Transportation Crew Leader, Transportation Crew Supervisor, Transportation Crew Technician, Highway Maintenance Superintendent and Welder and Fabricator positions by $2 per hour.

SUMMARY

This bill addresses the shortage of snowplow drivers and other transportation workers in the Department of Transportation by:

1. Establishing 5 new Transportation Crew Supervisor positions; and

2. Increasing the rate of pay for certain positions in the Department of Transportation by $2 per hour.
