Amend the resolve by striking out the title and substituting the following:

‘Resolve, Directing the Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry, Bureau of Parks and Lands To Work with the Town of Allagash Regarding the Conveyance of a Plot of Land from the State to the Town of Allagash’

Amend the resolve by striking out everything after the title and inserting the following:

Sec. 1. Director of Bureau of Parks and Lands to work with the Town of Allagash. Resolved: That the Director of the Bureau of Parks and Lands within the Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry shall work with the Town of Allagash, County of Aroostook regarding the siting and plans for the establishment of a fueling facility in the Town of Allagash for the local logging industry and off-road recreational vehicles, including, but not limited to, snowmobiles and all-terrain vehicles. The Bureau of Parks and Lands and the Town of Allagash shall work in collaboration with the Department of Environmental Protection, Bureau of Remediation and Waste Management. By February 1, 2020, the Bureau of Parks and Lands shall submit a report with findings and recommendations to the Joint Standing Committee on Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry. The committee may submit a bill relating to the subject matter of the report to the Second Regular Session of the 129th Legislature.’

Amend the resolve by relettering or renumbering any nonconsecutive Part letter or section number to read consecutively.

This amendment, which is the minority report, requires the Director of the Bureau of Parks and Lands within the Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry to work with the Town of Allagash, in collaboration with the Department of Environmental Protection, regarding the siting and plans for the establishment of a fueling facility in the Town of Allagash for the local logging industry and off-road recreational vehicles, including, but not limited to, snowmobiles and all-terrain vehicles. The amendment also requires the Bureau of Parks and Lands to submit a report with findings and recommendations to the Joint Standing Committee on Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry and authorizes the committee to submit a bill relating to the subject matter of the report to the Second Regular Session of the 129th Legislature.
