Prohibiting the
collection of qualifying contributions for Maine Clean Election Act
candidates through a website hosted or operated by the Commission on
Governmental Ethics and Election Practices, the State or a state agency is
not expected to reduce the rate of candidate participation. Any reduction in
the number or amount of contributions from registered voters cannot be
determined but is not expected to be significant. There would be no change in
administrative costs to the commission from this bill. |
