	This bill requires the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) to submit an annual report to the joint standing committee of the Legislature having jurisdiction over health and human services matters on the activities of and reports produced by the child welfare advisory panel formed pursuant to the federal Children's Justice Act. The required annual report is already being produced by the Maine Child Welfare Advisory Panel and submitted to the federal government. This bill simply requires that the already created annual report be submitted to the legislature by the department. Any additional costs to the DHHS to submit the report are expected to be minor and can be absorbed within existing budgeted resources.
