to the Maine Charter School Commission to implement the requirements of this
legislation can be absorbed within existing budgeted resources. |

Limiting the
number of public charter schools that may operate in the State at any one
time to 10 will not affect the total cost of K-12 public education or the
distribution of the State's contribution to the total cost, as there are
currently 9 public charter schools operating in the State. |
