This bill includes
ongoing General Fund appropriations totaling $4,000,000 per year beginning in
fiscal year 2019-20 to the Adult Education program within the Department of
Education. Of that amount, $1,300,000
per year is provided to increase the adult education subsidy to local school
units that operate adult education programs and $2,700,000 per year is
provided as targeted funds to improve the capacity of local adult education
programs to meet students' academic and work readiness and training needs. |
