Legislative Cost/Study
The general operating expenses of this study are projected to be $1,500 in fiscal year 2019-20. An estimated $6,190 is available in each of fiscal years 2019-20 and 2020-21 in the Legislature's proposed budget for legislative studies as well as any balances from prior years for this purpose. Whether these amounts are sufficient to fund all studies will depend on the number of studies authorized by the Legislative Council and the Legislature. 
Fiscal Detail and Notes
  The Department of Education has indicated it will require funding to reimburse certain task force members for mileage and to prepare the final report. The bill includes a one-time General Fund appropriation of $3,112 in fiscal year 2019-20 to the Leadership Team program within the Department of Education.
This bill also includes a one-time Other Special Revenue Funds allocation of $500 in fiscal year 2019-20 to a newly created Task Force to Enhance Continuing Education Programs for Young Adults with Disabilities program within the department to allow expenditure of any outside funding that might be received to support the task force.
Any additional costs to the Department of Health and Human Services, the Department of Labor, the University of Maine System and the Maine Community College System to serve on the task force are expected to be minor and can be absorbed within existing budgeted resources.
