The bill creates
an automatic voter registration system.
It includes a one-time Federal Expenditures Fund allocation of
$140,000 in fiscal year 2020-21 to the Department of Secretary of State for
computer programming costs to scan automatic voter registration information
and transfer pending voter registration applications to the central voter
registration system. The source of the
federal funds is the 2018 Help America Vote Act (HAVA) Election Security
Grant funds. |
